Best booking software in Mauritius: 2026 comparison

Three kinds of tool, three logics

Before comparing prices, know what you are buying. Booking tools offered in Mauritius fall into three families:

• The marketplace: an app the customer downloads to find and book a business. You are listed among others. That is the model of Reserve and Fresha.
• The online diary: a booking page or a module on your website, with reminders. That is the model of Setmore and Linkeo.
• The WhatsApp assistant: the customer messages your WhatsApp number and books inside the chat. That is Riserv's model, and what the agencies Webymind and Artover build.

Riserv: the assistant that books inside WhatsApp

Riserv replies on your WhatsApp number, offers only the slots that are really free according to each service's length, confirms the appointment and notifies you. The customer installs nothing: they message you on WhatsApp as they already do.

• Three plans, WhatsApp messages included: Basic at Rs 490 a month (40 appointments and 6 services), Pro at Rs 890 (120 appointments, 20 services, day-before reminder, morning summary), Premium at Rs 1,690 (300 appointments, unlimited services, second reminder 2 hours before, statistics and history as PDF).
• 14-day trial on the Pro plan, no bank card, from activation. No commitment; yearly payment counts 10 months.
• Pack of 25 extra appointments at Rs 149 for a busy month.
• Works on your current WhatsApp Business number if the account is more than 3 months old, otherwise on a new number dedicated to the assistant.
• Takes no payment and no deposit. One practitioner per number for now: the multi-practitioner version is announced, not yet available.

Reserve: the Mauritian booking app

Reserve (reservemu.com) is a consumer app, on Google Play and the App Store, where customers find and book salons, gyms, spas and clinics. The business manages its bookings in a partner dashboard, with a multi-staff calendar.

• Model: marketplace. You are listed next to the other businesses in your category; the customer books in the Reserve app, not on your WhatsApp. The website actually presents WhatsApp as the mess to replace (“no calls, no WhatsApp chaos”).
• Price: the home page says “it's free to start” and “no long-term contract”; we found no amount on it. A testimonial mentions a subscription.
• For whom: businesses that want to be found by new customers inside an app, and accept that booking happens outside their own conversation.

Fresha: the global salon platform

Fresha is an international platform for beauty and wellness: salon software plus a marketplace for customers. Its pricing page displays in Mauritian rupees.

• Prices shown on 17 October 2026: Independent (one bookable person) at Rs 269.95 a month, Team at Rs 179.95 per team member a month, excluding taxes; 7-day trial, no commitment.
• Extra fees: a one-time fee on each brand-new client who comes through the Fresha marketplace (amount not shown); WhatsApp and SMS notifications include 20 messages a month, then Rs 1.50 to Rs 5 per WhatsApp message; card payments are a paid add-on.
• WhatsApp is used for notifications there, not for booking: the customer books on Fresha.
• For whom: salons and beauty institutes that want a complete system (till, client records, marketplace) and customers comfortable with an app.

Setmore: the free online diary

Setmore is a global online appointment diary, with no Mauritian edition. You get a booking page to share, and email reminders.

• Prices shown: free up to 4 users with email reminders; Pro at $5 per user a month on annual billing, with SMS reminders (500 credits a month per member, depending on the country).
• No WhatsApp mentioned on the pricing page: neither for booking nor for reminders.
• For whom: a sole trader who wants a booking link for their bio, with no budget, and whose customers are happy to fill in a form.

Linkeo Mauritius: the web agency's module

Linkeo is a Mauritian web agency (websites, SEO). Its appointment software shows your real availability, sends automatic reminder notifications and collects customer reviews after the service.

• Price: no amount and no trial on the page; the only next step is a call or the contact form. The agency installs and configures the tool.
• Channel: the page names neither WhatsApp, SMS nor email for reminders; booking happens online, from your website.
• For whom: a business that already has its website built by an agency and wants to add booking to it.

Webymind and Artover: the agencies that build your assistant

Two Mauritian agencies sell custom-built WhatsApp assistants on the official WhatsApp Business Platform (API).

• Webymind (Grand-Baie): AI agent on WhatsApp, website chat and voice, in English and French (Creole for voice), with reminders 24 h, 2 h and 1 h before; go-live announced within 5 to 10 business days; price on personalised quote, in rupees; free demo, no trial announced.
• Artover (Ebene): WhatsApp automation (automated replies, booking reminders, lead capture) with handover to a human; fixed written quote before any work, no trial announced. Its guide notes that Meta bills each message template sent through the API, on top of development.
• For whom: a business that wants a fully custom flow (several locations, till, existing tools) and accepts a quoted project rather than a subscription.

How to choose

1. Where do your customers already message you? If they write to you on WhatsApp, a WhatsApp assistant saves them installing an app or filling in a form. If they look for you in an app, a marketplace may bring you strangers.
2. Do you want a listed price or a quote? Riserv, Fresha and Setmore show their prices; Reserve, Linkeo, Webymind and Artover ask you to contact them.
3. Do you need to take payments? Fresha offers card payments as an add-on; Riserv takes no payment and no deposit.
4. How many people take appointments? Fresha, Reserve and Setmore handle several members; Riserv is one practitioner per number for now.
5. Test with real customers before paying: Riserv (14 days), Fresha (7 days) and Setmore (free plan) allow it with no commitment.
